University Commons, an “open air shopping
center” has been purchased by Regency Centers who owns other similar properties
in southeast Florida. One hundred
percent leased, it includes one primary building with four outparcel buildings
and 1,156 parking spaces, barely enough to cover the demand at peak times.
The
22.4-acre center is 100 percent leased to Whole Foods Market, Nordstrom Rack,
Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, PF Chang’s, J. Alexander’s, Mario’s
Osteria, and Shake Shack. Regency
currently owns 321 shopping centers in most major US markets with nine in
southeast Florida. Florida Atlantic
University is across the street and Boca Regional Medical Center a few blocks
away.
